Orange Mod Light, but no Controller Power

Installed everything, found that the gun was shooting on it's own. So I followed a suggestion that said I should clear up contact between the 3 points to the right trigger. Did that, but now I can't seem to get controller power, only mod power. The orange light signals the mod modes are cycling, but the green one signaling controller power never comes on. Even when sync button is held. Help?
