Xbox 360 IntensaFIRE Installation Instructions

***BEFORE YOU BEGIN***

This product does not work with wired controllers, only official Microsoft wireless Xbox 360 controllers.

Also, the latest info available is that the newest all-black Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controllers (part #X16-87925-01) are not compatible with the current versions of the IntensaFIRE. The manufacturer, BGR Mods, is working on a new version which will be compatible. If you don't have the packaging for your controller to check the part number, they are the black controllers which have black charge and headset ports (instead of gray).

If You Plan To Use Solder to Install Your IntensaFIRE:

We strongly recommend that you read this Xbox 360 Soldering Tutorial first.

To Install Your IntensaFIRE Mod:

1. Remove the battery pack.

2. Remove the 7 screws, using the enclosed screwdriver.

3. Place the controller face down, push up thumbsticks to separate controller halves.

GLUE WARNING: Contains a flammable solvent, should be used under good ventilation conditions. Avoid direct contact with the skin; avoid inhaling glue fumes, avoid eye contact. Do not use near open flame. Do not eat. Keep out of children's reach. Some individuals may experience an allergic skin reaction; wash with soap and water, and if rash persists contact a physician.

4. Take the IntensaFIRE flexboard and place it on the controller's circuit board as shown above. Align matching labels and tape into place to keep flexboard from moving.

5.Advanced users may skip step 6 and use solder (preferred method) instead of the included glue in the following steps.

6. Massage the packet for 30 seconds. Tear open on dotted line.

7. Connect points in numeric order shown above. Dip tip of toothpick into glue packet. Use toothpick to apply small amount of glue to flexboard. CG controllers use top "Sync" connection (there are three pins there, connect to the center one only), Matrix controllers use left "Sync" connection.

IMPORTANT TIP #1: If your controller has a CG sync connection, be sure that you make your connection to the middle sync point only!  Do not get any glue/solder on the contacts to the left or right of the middle pin, or the mod will not work and (if using solder) your controller may be irreparably damaged. Proceed slowly and carefully, do not rush!

IMPORTANT TIP #2: Be sure that each glue point is kept completely separate, especially at the three right trigger points (2, 3, and 4 in the diagram above). If the edges of the glue dots are touching even slightly, or if any one glue dot overlaps two contact points, the mod will not function properly.

If necessary, you may start over by removing the glue thoroughly using nail polish remover.

8. Allow the glue/solder to dry/cool. Glue must be dry before reassembling controller. Allow 4-5 hours to dry glue or dry for 10-15 minutes using a blowdryer on heat setting (do not start blow-drying until the glue has had a chance to set up, wait at least 15 minutes).

9. Remove tape. Reverse steps 1-4 to put the controller back together.

Turn on controller. Press "Sync" button once for Mode 1. Press "Sync" again for modes 2-5.

Modes:

Mode 5 is a programmable mode. To program, hold the right trigger and hit "Sync" simultaneously. The red LED in #2 position will light up. Then, hit the right trigger to go up one, left trigger to go down one (hold and count, that will give you an estimated number). Once set, press "Sync" to save your settings.
