IntensaFIRE Controller Mods for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

Fastest & Easiest Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Controller Mods

Has anyone had this problem or know any solutions to it? My problem is
that pressing my select button will cause my mod to change modes.
Pressing select however, will not turn it ON to mode one. Normally this
wouldnt be a problem, but i cant press select playing MW2 because it
turns the mod off. Anyone know a solution to this?

I haven't had this problem, but if you could, could you post a picture of your controller with the mod. So I can see the inside. I have a theory of why this may be occurring and I only way to know if my theory is correct is if you post a picture. Thank you.

This is my install.

My theory is that under the flex board there is some glue dried onto the traces of the motherboard, this could cause a disruption with the select button, Xbox button, start button, and sync button, you most likely have some glue dried on the select buttons trace. This would cause the select button to react with the intensaFIRE modification.

You have these 3 following options:
1. Remove all glue and clean flex board/motherboard then solder it on.
2. Somehow, either by removing just the upper contact point and cleaning the glue under it or just carefully cleaning it hoping not to break the connection, get the glue off the trace.
Or
3. Deal with it.

I recommend option 1 or 3.
Option number 2 is kind of a ridiculous amount of work, if you do that you may as well clean it all and solder.

So there is some dried glue beneath the sync button. That may be causing it/not sure. What would be an effective way of removing it without damaging the motherboard?

So i opened my controller and noticed some of the glue was beneath the sync connection and that, the "sync" connection was only resting on top. It had become unglued. So i lifted up that piece of the flex board and wiped away all the glue. And guess what... It worked. Thanks for your help!
Glad to help, I'm here to help always. If you have any other problems, feel free to post it and I'll reply as fast as possible!
