Article: Microsoft doesn't care if you use turbo controllers
Tuesday, 15 September 2009 13:25
From an article at TheJoypad.net regarding statements made by Stephen Toulouse during his PAX 09 panel on Xbox LIVE rules enforcement:
"...at PAX 2009, Stephen Toulouse hosted a panel about rules enforcement on Xbox LIVE. During the panel, he took questions from those in attendance about Microsoft's specific policy regarding some rules and behavior. One question involved the use of turbo controllers and he explained that Microsoft allows their use and it is not considered a form of cheating [...] Some gamers would argue that turbo controllers are a form of cheating [...] Toulouse said that Microsoft does not share this way of thinking because there are legitimate titles that expect turbo functionality to be a part of their game. Microsoft believes that it is up to the game developer to deal with that input device so if a game just blindly accepts turbo inputs, then it is the developers fault."
OCModShop.com gets a first-hand look at the IntensaFIRE during its debut at PAX 09:
"Regardless of the ethical uses of this mod, it can easily enhance your single-player experience. The controller also works perfectly when used on the PC. BGR Mods has a PS3 and Wii version coming out later in September."
